Cost Management (Quantity Surveying) Services include:

  • Representation at the various Project and Design Team, Cost Control and other meetings as required with positive responses to items under discussion.
  • Preparation of cost feasibility studies for optional appraisal and evaluation of “value for money” recommendations.
  • Advice on alternative contractual arrangements and procurement methods, insurance’s, warranties, bonds and the like.
  • Studies on construction form, selection and specification of materials and components.
  • Preparation of cost estimates and detailed cost plans as design develops.
  • Continuous cost checking and monitoring of ongoing design developments to ensure costs are maintained within approved expenditures.
  • Formulation of cash flow forecasts and assistance in overall budgetary control.
  • Preparation of selected Contract Documentation and Bills of Quantities for both building and engineering.
  • Provision of Pre-Tender cost checks to validate the anticipated Tender Cost being within authorised expenditure.
  • Examining tenders, preparing a comparative analysis and recommending acceptance of appropriate offer.
  • Post Contract procedures including:-
    • Preparing monthly valuations and cost control reports
    • Evaluating variations and agreeing same with Contractor
    • Site remeasurement
    • Preparing and agreeing Final Account with Contractor
    • Calculation of cost increases/decreases by approved formulae, if required by the contract
